Meet Mumu! New & Restocked Stickers

Hello hello! I hope everyone's had a great Spring filled with colorful blooms and perfect not-too-cold, not-too-hot days, or Spring showers if you're more into rainy weather. Here at Nini Mart, my calendar has been quite full of travel, family events and art markets. Let me catch you up, if you wanna grab a coffee and get cozy!
My partner and I were busy traveling the first two weeks of May, starting off with our 3-day trip to Reykjavik, Iceland. I've always wanted to visit Iceland and even though we didn't get to see the northern lights, I had a pretty magical time adventuring. The landscape there is out of this world - the vast moss-covered fields punctuated by dark lava rocks and mountains made me feel like I was in a fantasy novel or maybe a car commercial... I don't always vlog my trips, especially on vacation, but I just had to capture this one because... when am I gonna be back in Iceland?! I've linked the video here if you want to check it out! :)

Nini Mart Does Weddings Now, I Guess?
The next stop in our travel itinerary was my twin sister's wedding in Santa Barbara, CA. It was a very intimate wedding with closest friends and family, against the beautiful, sunny backdrop of the California coast. My sister had wanted to include her cat Mumu in the wedding and I was happy to contribute with a custom design. Mumu is a gentle tuxedo cat who has been there from the beginning of their relationship and an integral part of their journey. To represent Mumu, as well as my sister's recent obssesion with making martinis at home, I made foam board cutouts of Mumu as a flower girl and a martini enthusiast.

The cutouts looked so good and turned out to be a nice, cute surprise for the guests at the reception. I've made cutouts like these for table displays for Nini Mart, and they are extremely fun for me to make - If anyone is interested at all in having a custom cutout at their event, don't be shy and reach out to me on IG! Perhaps we can work out a commission :)

New Cats In The Shop & Restocked Stickers
I loved how the cutouts turned out so much that I had to turn them into little stickers for the shop! I'm excited to have a new cat to the lineup of my 2" hand-cut stickers. Mumu's markings are so different from my Nini's, so it'll be fun to make some more designs featuring Mumu in the future.

There are some other new designs I launched at different markets since March, including the Double-fisting IPA Tokki (Tokki is my partner's cockapoo puppy) and the Chicago Nini's. These are now available in the shop so be sure to check them out in the link below!

Also back in stock are the stationery-themed sticker sheets that sold out back at Chicago Stationery Fest. They make a cute little bundle with my new Stationery Enthusiast Nini sticker!

Market After Market!
Besides traveling and designing new stickers, I've been really ramping up the gears with vending at markets. Since March, I've already done 6 tabling events! One of my goals for this year is to try vending as much as possible and gather some data about my performance, my table setup (what works for different types of venues, what doesn't work so much), and how I feel about different markets in general. If I can keep it up for the second half of the year, I think all this tabling experience will be super helpful for planning out 2026 for Nini Mart!

So far, I've learned that my Cute Pet Portrait is the main attraction that drives people to my table, at least in person. So I've made great changes to my table setup over the few months to improve visibility of the Pet Portrait sign, to make it more attractive and legible but also easier for me to set up fast. I'm very happy with the setup I have now!
You've made it to the end of this blog - Thank you so much for reading and keeping up with Nini Mart :) I'm itching to make some summer and beach themed sticker sheets next, which should be a lot of fun. Follow me on IG and YouTube to see what I'm up to next, and catch up in my next blog post!
