New Goodies to Make your Winter Cozier
Happy December!! This month, I’ve been preparing for a busy season ahead, coming up with new products and getting everything ready for holiday markets. With how much work there is to do, I have yet to really enjoy winter, my favorite season, but I’m hopeful the holiday markets will get me in the winter spirit! Let's get right into some of my new products!
New category on shop - handmade Goodies!
One thing I’ve always wanted to do at Nini Mart is make a three dimensional Nini. I'm playing around with ideas like 3D print, clay sculpture, and crochet. While I like all these different mediums and plan on exploring each in time, I'm super happy to introduce some cute plushies I made out of felt! I have four different Nini plushie bag charms in various forms of baked goods - baguettes, toasts, holiday sugar cookies and gingerbread cookies. I've enjoyed drawing Nini as breads and pastries (cat loaf, duh!) since opening the shop, so it seemed only fitting to turn them into these soft 3d objects.

These are all hand-sewn felt plushies that are meant to be used as bag charms and phone charms - I can attest to their durability and cuteness as bag charms, as I've been carrying them around myself for a month or so! They're soft and adorable, making my colder weather outfits even cozier. I'm bringing them to holiday markets this month, but I also made them available online in limited quantities (more to come later!) - if you want to snag these now, you can find them here :)
I slowed down on designing sticker sheets while working on the new plushies, but I was able to revisit a design I started last year and see it through. It features Tokki enjoying a few different winter sports - skiing, snowboarding and sledding. I have fond memories of going skiing as a kid and I'm hoping to go this year with my partner! I decided to cast my partner's dog Tokki as the main character in this design, as he's more of an outdoorsy, active type than I am. I still made sure to include my favorite part of winter sports: hot drinks, snowy landscapes and cozy cabins.
2 Weeks of Markets in December
This time last year was the busiest month for Nini Mart - I got to meet so many people at markets around the city and I was so happy to draw so many holiday themed pet portraits. I'm hoping for the same in the next couple weeks as well, with multiple holiday markets lined up for two weeks. At these markets, I have the new plushie charms as I mentioned. I also have the CUTE Pet Portrait I usually do, with a cute Santa outfit offering.

For those looking to order online, I've recently updated the outfit options for the CUTE portrait to be closer to what I offer in person. At markets, I sometimes come up with a new outfit depending on the type of venue or the weather, which I haven't had the time to post on the online shop here. In the listing, you'll now find a selection of the cutest outfits I've drawn so far at various markets.
